About your role

This is how you will make the difference

As an Operations Manager, you lead our manufacturing units including Processing, Packing, Warehousing & Logistics. You have responsibility for approximately 150 employees, who are supported and managed in the daily operations by a team of two Shift Leads and one Production Manager.

You ensure that production operations (SHE, Quality, Customer Service, Cost) runs smoothly for the site whilst driving Continuous Improvement and Lean implementation. You will drive business growth through delivery of projects and initiating strategic interventions.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Ensure non-negotiable SHE and quality targets are delivered
  • Ensure factory production targets are met in terms of efficiency and customer service
  • Develop a high performing team achieve the above objectives
  • Ensure all new projects are fully delivered from an operations perspective
  • Stand in for the site director in his absence

The requirements for this role are: 

  • At minimum a bachelor level or similar experience
  • At minimum 5 years’ experience as an Operations Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • At minimum 3 years’ experience within a Food manufacturing environment
  • Demonstration of delivering results through teams
  • A recognised team leader and a recognised team player
  • Knowledge of lean tools and continuous improvement techniques
  • High level of drive and motivation to achieve results
  • Communication at all levels and able to connect with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Managerial courage, being tough and resilient
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
