For an international mid-sized CRO that specialises in the development of new pharmaceuticals concerning the fight against brain, heart and immunology diseases, we are looking for a Director Business Development. They do this by managing global clinical drug trials that will have a major impact on medicines. Part of their mission is providing independent, innovative and high quality clinical services to both clients and academia. Due to the growth and the need for an experienced sales professional, they are looking for a self-starting and entrepreneurial Business Development Director.
In the role of Business Development Director, you will be responsible for the growth of the team that is dealing with all activities related to the brain. In addition, you have to work closely with everyone involved, such as operations and science. You will create and execute business and marketing plans to generate the annual revenue by identifying, together with the sales team, new market opportunities and potential new clients. Next to cold acquisition, there is also account management involved to make sure that current clients are getting the best service. Lastly, you facilitate strategic alliances with identified networks and manage the business development KPI’s for the designated therapeutic area.
