The Business Development Manager’s role involves establishing and managing sales in a specified area focusing on designated accounts to build relationships, grow profitability, improve service and increase sales at active accounts while developing new accounts. The Business Development Manager is required to focus on key products and identify new accounts and organic growth opportunities, always trying to win new business. In addition, dedication to achieving designed company sales goals will be critical to success of the company as a whole.


What you bring:

  • Provide technical support for the customer
  • Call on the customer to take supply orders and introduce them to new products
  • Communicate with the CEO, Vice President, research & development team and other colleague to stay current on all product information, trends and customer needs
  • Use Exact Online to update all relevant customer account information, along with maintaining schedule in the calendar
  • Travel as needed each month, maintains and submit expenses in a timely way for accounting purposes, and automobile log where applicable
  • Establish accurate customer forecasts and budgets
  • Establish appropriate credit line
  • Manage subordinate and responsible for sales number


  • At least a Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years sales or related job experience in the ingredients business
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills a must
  • Exceptional computer skills (extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel)
  • Must be able to travel to call accounts on an as needed basis
  • Applicants must be authorised to work in the European Union
  • An excellent command of English, both verbal and written
  • Any other language skills are a plus (Dutch, German, French etc.)
  • A salary between the 60,000 and 70,000 euro a year, depending on your experience
