For a global supplier in high-tech filtration products active in the life science industry, we are looking for a Buyer. The organisation is a global leader in the field of filtration products, and the industries that they supply are in medical devices, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical. By supplying these key industries, the organisation plays an essential role and aims to improve product quality and safeguard health throughout the entire product lifecycle. The company has over 6000 employees worldwide, with more than 100 locations. Within the company there is a strong focus on lean manufacturing and lean processes. The company has been experiencing rapid growth of 30% to 40% the last years, and is now also going to expand the location and warehouse in the Netherlands. The supply chain department will also benefit from this, and result in more focus on continuous improvement and new initiatives on for example forecasting, analytics, and supplier performance evaluation.

You will be part of the supply chain team, and reporting to the planning and procurement manager. The team consists out of four buyers and three planners, ageing between 25 to 40 years


Within this role, you will have your personal portfolio of suppliers worldwide who you will be managing. Your main responsibility is managing the purchase-to-pay cycle for these inter-company and 3rd party purchases, optimisation of stock levels, and suppliers performance evaluation. You will be working in a dynamic and rapidly growing environment, you have to constantly adjust your strategy and plan to make sure that you are managing the process efficiently. Besides, you will be responsible for the supply of production materials according to the planned delivery schedule. The main challenge will be managing the whole proces, improving efficiency, and continuous improvements of the current processes. The location where you will be working from is an important R&D and production site, so it is essential that the inbound supply chain processes are efficient, accurate, and achieved on schedule.


The profile of the ideal candidate is:

  • Two to five years procurement experience within a production related environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Commercial mindset
  • Understanding of MRP, production planning processes
  • Extensive IT and ERP experience, preferably in SAP
  • Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management or procurement


The organisation can offer you the following:

  • Monthly salary between €3,000 to €3,500 of depending on your experience
