A leading organisation in the medical devices industry is looking for a Field Inventory Expert. Despite being one of the leading and most innovative medical devices organisations worldwide, they constantly seek ways to bring technology, therapies, and service together and on a world-class level. From the main distribution centre located in the Limburg area, all supply chain activities in the EMEA are managed and performed, and they serve more than 100+ countries and multiple regional/local hubs. They have won multiple awards and distinction for their supply chain model and strategy and because of the continuous growth, they have a Field Inventory Expert role available.


Within the EMEA OTC Program, this organisation is implementing a new structure for the consignment inventory, where you will be driving this program from a supply chain point of view. This project has a high priority for the global supply chain strategy, which will provide you lots of challenges. You will play an essential role by having discussions with country and regional business leaders to find a perfect balance for the consignment inventory and the supporting initiatives to manage and optimise the inventory levels in the field at local, regional, and main distribution centers.

Besides, you will be the main driver to consolidate input, conduct field inventory report outs, facilitate monthly discussions on country performance and actions, as well act as the trusted support in the quarterly inventory forecast process and yearly inventory APO (Annual Operation Plan) process.


The organisation is looking for an experienced supply chain professional with extensive experience within large multinational matrix organisations.

The profile of the ideal candidate is:

  • Eligible to work in the EU, preferably already living in the Netherlands
  • Minimum of eight years international supply chain management experience
  • Very strong in Excel and ERP software (preferred SAP ERP, Power BI, SAP BO/BW and SAP Design Studio)
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality
  • Excellent international stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management or logistics
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Desire to win and continuously grow
