Boortmalt (the malting business of the agro-industrial cooperative group, Axereal) is the largest malting company globally with more than 1.1 million tons of malt sold throughout the world each year. Their 500 employees spread over seven countries in Europe are focused on producing an extensive range of high-quality malt types to meet the exacting requirements of its brewing and distilling customers around the world. By using the most modern production techniques and with their far-reaching logistics capability, they can supply world markets both effectively and efficiently.

The ever-evolving group is currently rolling out its corporate ERP suite with JD Edwards at the centre. At the same time their business is expanding operations worldwide. This is an exciting time to join the company and help them transitioning to the future.


The I&O Project & Process Manager will report to the GROUP ICT Integration and Performance Manager and will be part of the team based in Antwerp.

The I&O Project & Process Manager is responsible for the success of all projects and processes in their portfolio. Plans, executes and delivers all projects on time and documents redesigned processes that are part of the project implementation in accordance with scope and business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the Project & Process Manager tracks project and process status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. Also, you will drive a process-oriented ICT organisational approach and methodology for process-side changes caused by projects and change efforts.


The person we are looking for has a proven experience of minimal five years in project and process management in an international environment and is a polyvalent problem solver, preferably in the food manufacturing and sales industry. Furthermore:

  • Strong experience in ICT infrastructure in the large sense: networks, server and hosting solutions, workstation technologies, governance processes and methodologies
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills
  • Proven delivery of operational project organisations and processes
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes in priorities and logistics
  • Strong knowledge of business objectives
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and COBIT 5 framework is a must
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and French spoken and written (Spanish is a plus)
