For a rapidly growing medical devices scale-up, we are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer. The organisation develops and produces innovative and life changing electronic medical devices with the goal to give people more time to enjoy life. Currently, the organisation experiences tremendous growth, and is expected to become a global leader in the near future. At the moment, about 100 employees work at the organisation which are talented and ambitious professionals who believe in a work hard/play hard approach.


As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will have a key position within the mechanical R&D team. Your responsibility lays in designing and developing new innovative medical devices. This is a great opportunity to make a big impact on the healthcare industry within a scale-up organisation.

Main tasks in this role are:

  • Prototyping, testing and reporting throughout the product development life cycle
  • Keeping current with relevant scientific and technical developments
  • Process development and optimisation of new manufacturing methods and techniques
  • Design and development of innovative medical devices from concept to manufacturing
  • Perform necessary GMP process validations and other quality system documentation requirements to support the on-boarding of new processes
  • Development of requirements, specifications and the development of mechanical testing and debugging plans and protocols where required
  • Managing activities assigned to technician colleagues


For this position the organisation is looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with design and development of medical devices or similar regulated industry
  • Knowledge and experience in the design & manufacture of small parts (fine mechanical engineering)
  • Strong SolidWorks experience/proficiency
  • Fluent communication skills in English
