For an organisation that finds its roots in the Red Cross and is now on the frontline of plasma therapies, we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor. This is your chance to be part of an organisation that has a foothold in the historic context of healthcare. While the Red Cross started with the goal to prevent further damages caused by civil wars, now, since 2016 this stand alone CMO entity focusses on developing cutting edge plasma therapies for a wide range of international partners. To be able to keep developing and supplying the highest quality of plasma the organisation is driven by passionate staff, consisting of 300 employees in Belgium alone.

The position of Maintenance Supervisor is positioned underneath the Maintenance Manager, who manages at the moment two Team Leaders and 11 Technicians. You, as a Supervisor will be directly responsible for the teamleaders and indirectly for the technicians. You will be working in an environment that is requiring you to really build something together. You have the possibility to show that you can do more than your job description. Because of new management, there is the space to develop yourself and demonstrate your full potential.


As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be directly responsible for the management, follow-up, and optimisation of the maintenance activities within the organisation. This with the aim of ensuring the continuity, quality, and safety of production processes. Due to the regulation, this needs to be done in compliance with the quality systems that comply with the European and American cGMP directives.

Next to your responsibilities on all maintenance matters, there is also people management involved. You make sure that you get the best out of your employees by coaching, guiding and develop them. In addition, as the technicians works in shift, a proper planning and management is important. In total, you will be responsible of two Team Leaders and 11 Maintenance Technicians.


We are looking for someone with hands-on maintenance engineering experience and strong people management skills. In addition, the following requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor or Master in a technical orientated field, such as Electromechanics or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Known with relevant directives and procedures related to safety and quality
  • Several years of experience in leading teams
  • Strong organisational skills; you are able to lead several projects at the same time and set priorities, even when the circumstances change
  • Strong interpersonal skills; you are persuasive, able to defend your position, decisive and a good communicator
  • You are at least fluent in French and English. Being able to speak Dutch is a big plus
