Research/Study Nurse - Utrecht

Function Group: Clinical Research / CRA

Organization

Doing the best clinical research and using the results to cure the world, that is what this organisation is all about! From their headquarters near Utrecht, the dedicated people who work here do their best to help their partners investigate and research new and existing drugs. They do this by partnering with academic research centres, hospitals and more. On these locations, participants are being activated, examined and interviewed. While not all participants are not always on these locations, in some cases they are visited at home. For this reason the organisation is looking for several self-organising and flexible Research/Study Nurses.

Function

In the role of Research/Study Nurse, you will call and visit participants (age over 70 years old) at their homes and guide and train them on a pilot Phase 3 study. With the assistance of a skilled and experienced project team you will schedule your own agenda, visit the participants and play be a vital part in this study.

To be precise: after your (clinical) assessments, you will take nose-swabs during the visits you have planned, inform the participant about the follow up and instruct them on how to work with the mobile app during the study. Connected to this this you will take care of several administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing.

This can only be done after a thorough study explanation and the agreement of the participant, also known as the informed consent procedure.

Lastly you will make absolutely sure that correct reporting and follow-up of adverse events, serious adverse events and suspected unexpected serious adverse reactions are being monitored and addressed if needed.
