A leading organisation in the medical devices industry is looking for a Senior Demand Planner. From the main distribution centre located in the Limburg area, all supply chain activities in the EMEA are managed and performed, and they serve more than 100+ countries and multiple regional/local hubs. They have won multiple awards and distinction for their supply chain model and strategy and because of the continuous growth, they have a Senior Demand Planner role available for professionals with distinct drive for results and a clear focus on customer satisfaction.


Within this role, you will be working to develop and execute solutions in line with the global supply chain strategy. These include extensive sales and operations planning, demand planning, and product launch support. You will be working closely with the commercial departments and partnering up with global and EMEA supply chain teams to maintain and optimise product supply and inventory. Besides, you initiate process improvement opportunities throughout each stage of the product lifecycle, new product launch planning and execution, product rationalisation, E2E demand planning operations management and S&OP.

Besides from the above, you will also be involved in the following:

  • Proactive demand forecast by working closely with Sales/Marketing and supply chain teams to develop, utilise, and improve best practise processes
  • Lead regional S&OP cycle
  • Review, challenge, and amend the statistical forecast in conjunction with regional tender volume requirements to improve forecast accuracy
  • Active involvement with regional tender management, product launches and acquisitions to generate an optimal forecast
  • To align the volume forecast with the fiscal forecast through a robust S&OP process
  • Educate Marketing and the countries on the demand planning process and impact of forecasting on the business
  • To be able to communicate with all levels of the organisation in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
  • To use excellent analytical and numerical skills to understand, interpret, and utilise data and in-formation
  • Keep management updated with KPI’s


The profile of the ideal candidate is:

  • Eligible to work in the EU, preferably already living in the Netherlands
  • At least five years supply/demand planning experience
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience using SAP R/3, APO
  • Commercial mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management or logistics
  • Experienced in stakeholder management in a international matrix organisation
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Desire to win and continuously grow
