An international developer, producer, and supplier of high-quality optics products is looking for a seasoned Supply Chain Analyst. In half a century, this company has grown from a local player into an internationally operating organisation with market share in more than 100 countries. Innovation is paramount within the organisation and that is reflected in various aspects. They develop their own technologies and have their own measurement methods. Because of the precision and passion with which they develop tailor-made optics, they continue to grow also in new markets such as China.

Your mission will be to bring supply chain planning and forecasting to a new level, by implementing new planning tools, being involved with projects, and doing process improvements. This will not be done alone, because you will work closely with the operations manager, the engineering team, the production department, and your colleagues from sales.


As mentioned earlier, you will play a key role in the establishment of the supply chain planning department. They don’t have any planners yet, the MRP planning is done by the production leaders and the operations manager. Therefore, you will be involved in projects to lay the fundament for supply chain. Projects you could think of are implementing a new planning system, automating production processes, and integrating the global supply chain of other sites. Next to that, your daily work will consist out of doing the production planning, inventory management, giving advise to the purchasing department, and doing the forecasting with sales.


The ideal candidate has the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management or related
  • Five years of experience with order management, supply planning and demand planning on an international level
  • Strong understanding of working in a production department is mandatory. Preferably medical or otherwise a technical environment.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive results
  • Proven ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organisation
  • Fluency in English and preferably Dutch
