For a global supplier to the medical devices industry, we are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist for a temporary role till the end of the 2020 to cover a maternity leave.

The organisation is a global leader in their field of products and they supply to the medical devices, pharmaceutical, and biomedical industry. By supplying to these key industries, the organisation plays an essential role and aims to improve product quality and safeguard health throughout the entire product lifecycle. The company has over 6000 employees worldwide, with more than 100 sites. Within the company there is a strong focus on lean manufacturing and lean processes. The company has been experiencing rapid growth of 30% to 40% the last years, and is now also going to expand the location and warehouse in the Netherlands. You will be part of a team of four supply chain coordinators and working closely with sales and customer service.


In this role you will be working in a special supply chain team working on high priority orders. Within this role you will be working closely with sales, customer service and planning to ensure that these high priority orders are handled well. You will be analysing bottle necks in the order process, prioritising effectively between urgent orders based on information from the expedite request or from the sales teams. Next to that, you will be in the position to think out of the box and find creative solutions for the customers and the internal stakeholders you are working with, all with the goal to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction and the desired results for the company.


Personality is essential in this position. We are looking for an excellent and highly effective communicator, who is strong with stakeholder management, and has strong analytical skills. Next to that, we are looking for the following characteristics:

  • Proven track record within supply chain management or customer operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related
  • Strong in planning and prioritising
  • Being able to stay calm and create structure in processes
  • Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English
