Trade Compliance Specialist EMEA - Eindhoven

Function Group: Supply Chain / Distribution


The company has grown considerably since its inception and already has several locations in Europe and beyond. They make DNA analysis devices for CROs, pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology companies. They are looking for someone who finds it challenging to work at an international level and to really contribute to the organisation.


In this role you will be working with the EMEA trade compliance and logistics division for customs clearance and export movements. The scope of this position includes ensuring implementation of effective global trade network resources both internally and externally, and minimise costs while assuring compliancy with governmental laws/regulations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Main point of contact for Dutch import entries
  • Participate on cross functional and supply chain teams as trade compliance SME
  • Identify and report to management any potential violations of trade compliance regulations and implement process improvements to mitigate risk
  • Performing internal, external, and government-directed trade compliance audits
  • Working with SAP GTS for customs clearance
  • Classification of products for import and export (HTC and ECN)
  • Continuous improvement of trade compliance procedures and process with the corporate policies


  • Minimum of four years of trade compliance experience in a multinational organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of global trade compliance regulations and requirements including US EAR, EU Dual Use, HTS, valuation and origin determination
  • Familiarity and understanding of export management systems, preferred SAP GTS
  • Previous experience in a life sciences organisation with focus on diagnostics and regulatory clearances (US FDA and similar) is a plus
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement within established guidelines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in written format in English
