About your role

This is how you will make the difference

We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to join the team and lead the innovative ultra sensitive, plug-and-play photonic diagnostics platform to new heights. The successful candidate will be responsible for fundraising, organisational development, deal-making with corporates, and managing growth. As Chief Executive Officer, you will be at the forefront of Surfix Diagnostics' mission to transform the landscape of oncology research. You will be driving our strategic growth initiatives, building relationships with investors and corporate partners, and managing our team to deliver on our vision. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing new business opportunities and building a strong culture that fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

what's needed

What you bring

To be considered for this role, you should hold a technical or scientific degree in Life Sciences, such as an MSc or PhD. Ideally, you will have completed a Business Degree, such as an MBA or MSc in Management. You should also have previous experience leading a rapidly growing team and a strong understanding of the cultural change that comes with it. Furthermore, we are looking for:

An entrepreneur that has closed an investment round;
Seasoned expert in board management;
Preferably experience within diagnostics;
Fluent proficiency in the English language, and Dutch language skills are preferable;
Being on site in Wageningen will not be a problem for you;
Strong, energetic personality, with strong and respectful way of communicating.
