About your role
This is how you will make the difference
As the Head of Biology you will be accountable for the performance and results across team(s) within the area of Biology and Translational Sciences. You will set departmental objectives/plans to ensure the delivery of Biology Department objectives. In addition, you will be responsible for establishing, directing, and providing strategic, tactical, and scientific leadership to the Biology and Translational Sciences area in inflammatory/immunology disorders.
In doing so you will be vital to the successful expansion of the small molecule GPCR pipeline and be responsible for presenting discovery projects to the organisation's leadership.

What you bring
Being the senior Biology professional you see yourself in the below:
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry or related fields of study;
- A minimum of 10 years of line- and project management experience in an R&D organisation with a proven track record in Drug Discovery;
- Strong scientific knowledge base in immune cells and inflammatory and immunological disorders.
In terms of skills and competencies, we look for:
- Strategic influencing;
- Demonstrated leadership capability in leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborative problem solving;
- Strong interpersonal, written/ verbal communication and organisational skills;
- Effective written/oral communication skills and a proven publication track record;
- Ability to effectively manage time, resources and multi-task, with a flexible and entrepreneurial attitude.
