As an Operational Team Leader, you thrive in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is the norm. Your focus is on optimising operations and ensuring your team reaches their full potential. Creating a culture of performance, growth, and job satisfaction is your goal. Your team's scope includes the media kitchen, sample weighing, and deployment. Safety, quality (getting it right the first time), and productivity are your top priorities. Smooth workflow within the lab is essential, and you investigate deviations to identify root causes, implementing corrective and preventive actions. You take on a coaching and motivational role, fostering self-reliance and collaboration within the team, while also providing operational and tactical advice and working closely with other team leaders and the Operational Manager.

What you bring

The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and be committed to achieving goals and maintaining interdepartmental relationships. Other then being self-driven and dedicated, the new Operations Team Lead is required to have the following: 
  • Be a skilled coach and leader, fostering team growth and development with enthusiasm and a collaborative approach;
  • Possesses excellent analytical abilities, and is capable of swiftly identifying core issues and adept at switching between tactical and operational levels;
  • Holds an HBO-level educational background and mindset;
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in lean principles;
  • Brings a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience to the table, with a background in laboratory or production environments.
