A rare opportunity to shape and connect a global PharmTox & Bioanalytics capability from a strong scientific foundation.

argenx is transforming immunology to help patients with severe autoimmune diseases get their lives back. As we prepare for multi-dimensional expansion, our ambition is clear: to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for gMG, with the potential to impact dozens of autoimmune indications.

Over the years, argenx has grown into a global organisation of more than 1,800 people across 19 countries and four continents. Despite this scale, the company continues to operate with the mindset of a science-based start-up. Innovation, execution and connection are embedded in how we work every day. We deliberately avoid heavy hierarchy and instead rely on ownership, trust and collaboration to move fast and make better decisions. This context defines the role of Head PharmTox & Bioanalytics.

The Head PharmTox & Bioanalytics leads a multidisciplinary capability covering nonclinical safety, nonclinical and clinical bioanalytics, and biomarker analytics. The role reports directly to the Head of Development and is an integral part of the Development Leadership Team.

The current Head PharmTox & Bioanalytics will transition into a research fellow role during a defined handover period before retirement. This creates a rare opportunity: inheriting a well-built, high-performing capability from a respected leader who remains close to the organisation, while being trusted with the responsibility to take it forward. It also means stepping into large shoes. The function runs well, expectations are high, and the breadth of responsibility is significant.

Purpose of the Function
The Global Head PharmTox & Bioanalytics is responsible for integrating nonclinical drug development activities across pre- and post-nomination programmes, working closely with other development capabilities to ensure seamless and effective progression from early development into the clinic.

Beyond delivery, this role is about stewardship. It offers the opportunity to lead and further grow an already strong capability, building on a solid foundation rather than starting from scratch. The role plays a central part in shaping how science, development and decision-making come together across projects.

As part of the argenx scientific community, the Head PharmTox & Bioanalytics contributes actively to critical thinking in projects, bringing development insight on safety, assay interpretation, translational relevance and regulatory implications. The role also carries responsibility for ensuring that argenx’s cultural pillars and operating principles are reflected in how the capability operates, collaborates and delivers.
