In this role, you combine maintenance responsibility with project-based engineering to ensure equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement. You coordinate and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment failures, and perform root cause analyses to minimize downtime. You monitor equipment performance and initiate corrective actions where needed. In addition, you plan and execute engineering and investment projects such as installations, upgrades, and facility improvements. You prepare and manage technical and project documentation and coordinate external contractors and suppliers. You participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and change control processes, and are responsible for commissioning, testing, and handover of completed projects. Finally, you support and train production and maintenance teams to strengthen technical knowledge and ownership.

Besides a hands-on mentality, you bring;

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in a technical production environment (preferably within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or high-tech manufacturing)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A proactive, structured, and improvement-driven mindset
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus
• Knowledge of and/or experience with ISO quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 / ISO 13485) is considered a plus
