Program Manager - Pre-clinical

For our client, a critical organisation that bridges early-stage R&D and drug development, we are seeking a Programme Manager who will be responsible for coordinating and aligning all programme activities with the organisation’s strategic objectives. This position is particularly compelling as you will operate at the heart of oncology research, engaging with various programme managers, consortia and external partners, guiding programmes and teams towards accelerated progress in the pre-clinical phase.

About your role

This is how you will make the difference

In this role, you will combine classical programme management with data coordination and governance. You will ensure that all activities across multiple consortia are aligned and contribute to the organisation’s strategic goals. You will work closely with programme managers, project leaders and external partners to secure effective programme execution.Key responsibilities:

Managing programmes across diverse research consortia and overseeing progress, budgets and timelines
Preparing annual plans and consolidated programme reports
Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Supporting data governance initiatives and quality assurance
Facilitating collaboration between academia, industry and clinical partners
Continuously improving processes and programme efficiency

what's needed

What you bring

You are scientifically trained, analytically strong and capable of steering complex projects within a multidisciplinary environment. With your helicopter view and attention to detail, you contribute to the quality and impact of cutting-edge oncology research. In addition, you bring the following qualifications:

A PhD in a relevant Life Sciences discipline
At least 3–5 years of experience in project or programme management within biotech, pharma or similar industry-environment
Knowledge of oncology research and/or preclinical development
Experience with multi-stakeholder projects and complex governance structures
Strong writing skills for scientific and management reporting
A proactive, structured and results-oriented working style
Fluency in English
