For our client, an industry association within the Oil & Gas industry, we're looking to recruit a Science Associate who is going to boost the Health division. This role is particularly appealing because you’ll be working at the very center of where key decisions within the EU, oil & gas industry take place, giving you the opportunity to both learn and contribute directly at the core of the action.

This is how you will make the difference

As a Science Associate within the Health division, you will operate at the very centre of where impactful industry and policy decisions are made. You will combine scientific expertise with strong project management skills, supporting regulatory compliance (REACH, CLP) and driving innovative toxicology and data science initiatives.Beside, you will coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, liaising with stakeholders from different disciplines and contact research organizations. You will organise meetings, start discussions, and ensure the timely delivery of project outcomes. By contributing to both the scientific content and the operational execution of projects, you will have a direct influence on strategic health-related research that shapes the oil & gas industry standards. Your work will also involve setting up, negotiating and managing contracts, analyzing datasets using statistical methods, and drafting scientific reports and publications.

What you bring

As the ideal Science Associate, will recognize yourself in the following:
  • MSc or PhD in biological or biomedical sciences, toxicology, biochemistry, industrial hygiene, environmental science/engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in oil & gas or similar industries; 
  • Solid understanding of REACH and CLP regulations, and the ability to apply them directly in your work;
  • Experience in managing projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and meeting deadlines;
  • Familiarity with working with and curating complex datasets; skilled in statistical analysis (experience or interest with Python or R is a plus);
  • Strong organizational skills, able to work on several projects simultaneously;
  • Fluent English in both speaking and writing.
