About your role
This is how you will make the difference
As (senior) Scientist you will perform biological, immunological and pre-clinical laboratory research with a strong focus on the discovery, selection and development of innovative ADC-based therapeutics. You will also conduct scientific evaluations and experiments to identify novel target-antibody combinations and to achieve pre-clinical proof of concept. You will keep the project team up to date on the latest developments in the
ADC field and provide scientific guidance by sharing your knowledge of ADCs, in vitro assays and in vivo experiments. You will design, manage and execute research- and pre- clinical development plans. You will contribute to research programs using both internal and external (CRO) resources and execute the experiments in the lab. You will collect, analyse and interpret experimental data and you will actively contribute to scientific publications, protocols, SOPs, presentations, patent applications, and regulatory- and other documentation that are critical for progressing research programs through the organisation's product discovery and development pipeline.
what's needed
What you bring
Being the ideal candidate for the position you have:
- A degree in Biomedical Science, Immunology, Oncology or Biology and a PhD ina relevant scientific discipline;
- Extensive (minimum of 5 years) experience in a similar position in a biotech, biopharma or Pharma setting;
- A strong background in ADC design, characterisation and development;
- State-of-the-art knowledge on antibodies and derivatives, linker-payload and conjugation technologies, and functional assays (e.g. binding, internalisation, cytotoxicity, MoA);
- Relevant experience with in vivo research;
- Preferably some experience in working with external parties, such as CROs, CDMOs orcontract labs;
- A “hands-on” and “roll up your sleeves” mentality and the ability to execute tasks asneeded in a small biotech environment;
- A good command of the English language, both oral and written.
