An international life sciences consultancy is expanding its commercial presence in the Netherlands and is looking to appoint an Account Manager to drive growth across pharma, biotech, and medical devices.
With a strong reputation in quality, regulatory, validation, and digital compliance solutions, the company supports clients from early development through to commercialization. This is a consultative, relationship-driven commercial role focused on strategic account development and high-value project sales rather than transactional selling.

This is how you will make the difference

As Account Manager, you will take ownership of developing and growing business within the Dutch life sciences market, with a strong focus on building long-term partnerships and delivering solution-based services. You will develop and execute sales strategies to expand the client portfolio, while actively identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business opportunities with both new and existing customers. A key part of the role involves building strong relationships with stakeholders at C-level as well as within QA, Validation, Regulatory, and operational leadership functions, understanding their technical and compliance challenges, and translating these into tailored consulting, project, or software solutions. You will manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through proposal, negotiation, and contracting, while driving cross-selling and upselling across service areas such as Quality Assurance, Qualification & Validation, and software solutions. Throughout the process, you will collaborate closely with internal consultants and delivery teams to ensure the right expertise is matched to client needs and actively expand your professional network through industry events, conferences, and associations.

What you bring

As Account Manager, you combine commercial drive, life sciences expertise, and strong relationship-building skills to grow strategic partnerships and deliver solution-based services. Ideally, you bring:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Business Development, or commercial roles preferably within consultancy or service-based environments
  • Established network within the Dutch life sciences sector, ideally across manufacturing and quality functions
  • Affinity or experience with Quality Assurance, Qualification & Validation, and software-driven compliance services
  • Proven ability to sell complex, high-value services or projects 
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Able to engage both technical specialists and senior decision-makers confidently
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a scientific field
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
