In loving memory of Martin van der Velden.
Forever part of our story. Deeply missed, always remembered.
On 15 July our colleague Martin van der Velden passed away. Far too soon and very suddenly.
Martin was already good friends with Max, Daniel and Hans. Through them, many of us, myself included, knew him well before he joined QTC.
From 2018 onwards he became part of the business at an early stage. He quickly grew into a trusted colleague and key part of the team, helping shape QTC into what it is today.
Martin was truly one of a kind. Sharp-minded, quick-witted and always ready to go the extra mile. He worked closely with many of us on key searches and had a way of connecting with people that was entirely his own.
He spoke four languages fluently (and probably more if you asked), had an unmatched knowledge of music and somehow managed to win every pub quiz. He left an impression. Always.
Above all, Martin was cheerful, supportive and deeply committed to others. He brought humour and energy to every meeting and never hesitated to help when it counted.
We are all deeply saddened by his passing. Our thoughts are with his wife Alison, their two young sons Rhys and Vince, his father and mother, and all his friends. Martin will be missed as a colleague, and even more so as a person.
We’ve already informed several of the clients and people he worked with directly. In the coming days we’ll continue to reach out personally to those affected.
We feel fortunate to have known him, and he won’t be forgotten.
With sincere condolences
The QTC team
