This is how you will make the difference

As an Automation Engineer, you will focus on developing and testing PLC/HMI software that controls customized fluid-handling equipment. Working closely with vendors and internal engineers, you will ensure each system meets both operational and compliance requirements. Your responsibilities include programming PLCs and HMIs, coordinating with vendors for electrical panel and sensor integration, and translating system requirements into functional control logic. You will draft FDS/SDS documentation, support FATs and SATs, and apply communication protocols like. Additionally, you will liaise with subcontractors to ensure accurate delivery, participate in onsite testing, provide occasional post-installation support, and collaborate with the mechanical team to align control systems with hardware design.

What you bring

You are a practical automation engineer with at least 2 years of experience in PLC/HMI programming and industrial system control. You are comfortable working in regulated or client-adapted project environments and collaborating with internal and external teams. A qualified profile for this role would typically include:

 

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Automation);
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC/HMI programming (e.g., Siemens TIA, CODESYS);
• Understanding of sensor technologies and industrial networking protocols;
• Experience in automation within industries such as pharma, medtech, chemical, or food, particularly involving piping or tubing systems
• Capable of writing supporting technical documentation;

• Fluent in English, Dutch can be a plus;
• Good communication skills for working with vendors and colleagues;
