This is how you will make the difference

As Commercial Manager, you will oversee and manage the Sales & Marketing department, reporting directly to the CEO. Your main responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team consisting of two salespeople, two application specialists, one marketing manager, one product manager, and one marketing assistant. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing marketing strategies to support sales growth, while also coordinating commercial activities with the R&D, Production, and QARA teams. Ensuring the achievement of sales and profitability targets will be a key aspect of your role, along with maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), distributors, and end-users. Additionally, you will represent the company at conferences and exhibitions worldwide, which involve international travel. Market research will also be an essential part of your responsibilities to identify new business opportunities. Regular reporting to the CEO and contributing to strategic decisions are expected. This is a global role, primarily focused on Europe (70-80%), with growing markets in Asia, the UK, and the US.

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced commercial leader who thrives in a dynamic, international environment. The ideal candidate has:
  • 3 to 5 years of managerial experience in sales and marketing.
  • A BSc, MSc, or PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Biomedical Sciences.
  • Proven expertise in molecular diagnostics (PCR preferred) or IVD markets.
  • A successful track record in business development and market expansion.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and develop the commercial team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch (both written and spoken).
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (IVD/medical devices).
  • The ability to travel internationally for business meetings and conferences.
