Head of Chemistry
Our client is a dynamic biotech company with a proprietary chemistry technology committed to improving the effectiveness and reducing the toxicity of systemic cancer treatments. They pioneer unique approaches towards antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), prodrugs, and targeted radiotherapeutics through their unique platform, rooted in Nobel Prize-winning research. To further strengthen their organisation, they are looking for a Head of Chemistry.

What you bring
Being the ideal candidate for the position you:
Bring 8+ years experience in design, synthesis and development of small molecules and/or small molecule conjugates in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment.
Have a PhD in (Organic) Chemistry or a related field and an up-to-date understanding of developments in organic chemistry and common organic chemical synthesis, purification, and characterization techniques. Experience in the fields of bioorthogonal chemistry, bioconjugate chemistry, ADCs or targeted radiotherapeutics is desirable.
Are experienced in managing a small team and overseeing outsourced work at CROs and SMEs.
Are a strategic and innovative thinker with a track record of developing creative approaches.
Have a demonstrated ability to develop research plans, set goals and priorities, and manage timelines and resources effectively.
Are an effective communicator and can successfully collaborate with multiple key stakeholders and project teams.
