Medical Director - North West Europe

13 MAR ’24: For an established and global pharmaceutical organisation who are setting up their European headquarters in the Netherlands we are currently looking for an experienced yet ambitious Medical Director to cover North West Europe. The MD, which is a key leader within the Medical Team is working towards the launch of new and innovative medicine in countries such as the UK, Netherlands and Nordic region.

About your role

This is how you will make the difference

As the Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in the journey of innovation and speciality healthcare excellence. Leading the UK, Nordics, and Netherlands medical team, you will drive pre- and post-launch activities while collaborating closely with the European Medical Affairs team to shape the strategic direction. Moreover the role entails; Develop affiliate medical objectives aligned with EU and affiliate strategy; Cultivate scientific expertise within the medical team; Establish the company as a prominent partner in the medical/scientific community; Ensure local compliance and oversee the affiliate Medical team's growth and training.

what's needed

What you bring

To excel in this role you bring along a doctorate level Medical degree with preferably GMC registration and ABPI signatory experience/exposure. In addition you have;

Proven experience as a Medical Director in a dynamic environment;
Previous leadership of Medical Affairs teams across multiple countries;
Background in Infectious Disease or specialty pharmaceuticals;
Goal-oriented, driven, and adaptable with a patient-centric focus;
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
