This is how you will make the difference

As Program Manager Central Organisation you will play a vital and integral role in the foundation’s activities. This position requires a motivated leader who can facilitate community building across consortia, align them with strategic objectives, and ensure successful execution within budget and timelines. You will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the progress of the ten consortia within the program, ensuring that they are working together to achieve the program goals and monitoring whether they are completed according to plan, on time and within budget. In addition, you oversee the compilation of the annual plans and the annual reports of the program, including the mid-term assessment. This role requires a blend of leadership, bridgebuilding, stakeholder management, technical understanding, and project management skills to effectively coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders. As such you will act as a linchpin within the organization, coordinating among various stakeholders, managing resources, and fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration. You will be responsible to lead / coach a small team of Program Managers with various responsibilities across the organization. In this role you will work closely with other teams including Finance, Communication, Project Management.

What you bring

Being the ideal candidate for the position, you will recognise yourself in:

•    PhD degree in a relevant field, with at least ten years of project management experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
•    Proven track record of managing complex projects with cross-functional teams.
•    Familiarity with preclinical drug discovery & development.
•    Experience in overseeing oncology research, preferably in an academic setting. 

•    Fluent in English and Dutch.
