11 APR '24: For a possible revolutionary biotech organisation developing local and non-addictive pain treatment for spinal surgery we are currently looking for a QC Analyst to support a mission driven team in the lab. This role is especially interesting as you won't solely be performing tests, being part of a small and strong team will allow you to take on more and see how an organisation develops towards achieving its objective.

This is how you will make the difference

In the role of QC Analyst you are at the core of the organisation its operations and part of a compact and forward striving team. You will take care of proper pre-treatment of the samples and precise measurement as they are are key in obtaining reliable results. The main analytical techniques used are chromatography (HPLC) and spectrophotometry (UV-Vis). In this context you will, amongst other tasks: Ensure a proper execution and validation of all analytical methods (both IPC and QC); Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials and final product; Interpret and report results of analytical tests; Ensure that lab tidiness and safety standards are maintained; Periodic maintenance and calibration of the equipment. Besides the core of your job, you are part of a mission driven group so your opinion and input is valued to further develop the concept and therefore the organisation.

What you bring

To excel in this role you bring along a set of qualifications that is listed below. The primary testing method is HPLC, meaning that having solid experience with HPLC will be key to be successful. You identify yourself in the following: 
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of Biotech/Pharma industry experience of which two years using HPLC in analytical testing
  • Excellence in preciseness, diligence and transparency where documenting is a natural consequence of your activities in the lab
  • You are a team player, one that wants to achieve a shared mission and goes the extra mile
  • You have a growth mindset, absorbing feedback and strong in communication
  • You are an excellent English speaker, both verbal and written you know how to formulate what you want to convey.
