This is how you will make the difference

As a Research Technician In Vivo, you will be a key member of the In Vivo Biology team within the Research and Development division. Your main responsibility will be to support the daily operations of the animal facility, ensuring efficiency and high standards of animal care and safety. You will oversee the maintenance of facility equipment and supplies essential for daily operations. Additionally, you will coordinate logistics and operational tasks, including supervising cleaning and maintenance personnel. You will manage animal colonies, accurately recording arrivals and tracking usage throughout experiments. Working closely with the in vivo team, you will maintain animal welfare and ensure optimal facility functionality. You will also ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards, guidelines, and internal protocols. Monitoring animal health and promptly reporting any unusual observations will be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will provide technical support, including animal handling (mice only), administration of treatments, and sample collection.

What you bring

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a background in biological sciences and relevant hands-on experience in an animal facility. Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work well within a team are essential for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, life sciences, or a related discipline;
  • Proficiency in English at a basic to advanced level;
  • Preferably FELASA certification (or at least willingness to obtain within the first six months of employment);
  • Practical experience in an animal facility, preferably with mice, is strongly preferred;
  • Familiarity with cell culture techniques is considered a plus;
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with a proactive mindset;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
