Scientist Bioinformatics
Scientist with a curiosity for Bioinformatics needed to join newly established Biotech! Our client Flindr Therapeutics is a pioneering early-stage biotech company focused on developing next-generation precision immune-oncology therapeutics. Leveraging their proprietary ImmunoGram Drug Discovery Engine, they aim to uncover novel targets in both cancer cells and immune cells. Their mission is to develop transformative treatments for cancer patients and their families, addressing unmet needs in precision oncology. With strong scientific foundations from the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Oncode Institute, as well as strategic collaborations with the Vlaams Institute voor Biotechnologie (VIB) and world-renowned experts in immunology and cancer biology, Flindr is positioned for significant growth. Following their recent €20 million investment round, they are expanding their research team in Ghent to accelerate the development of our pipeline and advance their lead programme, RNF31.

what's needed
What you bring
- Education: Master’s or PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Immunology, or a related field with a strong scientific foundation.
- Experience: Proficiency with bioinformatics tools and scripting languages such as R or Python.
- Expertise: Experience in CRISPR-Cas9 screening and high-throughput genetic analyses is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with neoantigen pipelines, tumour antigen identification, and TCR screening.
- Lab skills: Basic exposure to wet lab techniques such as cell assays or molecular biology.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication and project management skills. Strong commitment and accountability for completing projects in accordance with objectives.
- Language: High fluency in English – Dutch is an asset
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Resilience: Maintains composure under challenging circumstances and adapts to evolving priorities.
