Scaling Up in Leiden
To support the launch of a new cell therapy production center in Leiden, BMS needed to scale up rapidly and prepare the site for operational readiness.

Strategic Collaboration
QTC Recruitment partnered with BMS from the earliest stages of the project, starting with the initial visibility study. We provided strategic input to support the selection and positioning of the Leiden location on the Dutch labor market. Our data-driven insights included a competitive analysis of pharmaceutical turnover in the Netherlands, a talent mapping report, and benchmark comparisons between Belgium, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Integrated Recruitment Support
Together with the plant manager, we built a phased recruitment plan to secure key positions and manage large-scale hiring. As a result, QTC successfully placed 80 FTE across the first two phases of the scale-up, and supported the site’s operational readiness by providing 40 additional consultants.

Agile Talent Delivery
QTC operated as a fully integrated partner, adapting quickly to BMS’s evolving needs throughout the ramp-up. Our understanding of the local market and targeted talent approach helped accelerate hiring timelines and maintain high candidate engagement.

Impact and Future Outlook
The new production center in Leiden is designed to bring CAR T-cell therapy closer to cancer patients in Europe. With this partnership, QTC contributed not only to the recruitment effort, but to a broader mission of improving access to life-saving treatments.
